Policies

Below are some of our most important policies. Please note that not all policies are listed here. All policies will be included in the online enrollment process.

Required Vaccinations

Bordetella (boosted every 6 months), Distemper/Parvo Virus, and Rabies 1 year or 3 years - Verification of vaccines are required at the time-of-service request. We do not require Canine Influenza but highly recommend it. Puppy Vaccinations Final rounds of vaccinations(possibly 3 or 4 rounds are administered) – 14 days wait time before any service is provided after final puppy vaccinations are administered.

Good Health

All dogs must be in good health and physically able to participate in normal activities, such as walking, playing, and socializing. They must be free from pain and any contagious medical conditions. Canine guests must be fully recovered from any surgical procedure and have clearance from their veterinarian. Dogs must have lived in the owner’s home for at least 30 days prior to requesting services to help ensure no underlying illnesses develop or become contagious.

Veterinarian 5 Day Wait Policy

After a visit at a veterinarian’s office for any reason including wellness exams, vaccinations, skin allergies, etc. Canine illnesses have incubation periods during which a dog may appear healthy but still develop symptoms and become contagious.

Spay & Neuter Policy

All dogs over the age of seven (7) months must be spayed or neutered to participate in daycare and boarding services. Please note that Canine & Co. Dog Resort reserves the right to modify this policy at any time.

Leash and Collar Policy

All dogs entering the Resort are to be on a leash and controlled to ensure safety. Choke, Prong, Shock, Citronella, Flea and Tick Collars are not allowed.

Food & Treats

To help maintain your dog’s regular diet and prevent gastrointestinal upset, please provide their food and treats for their stay. We recommend increasing serving amounts of food since dogs are more active during their stay with us. We kindly request that each meal is pre-packaged for dogs staying less than 7 days; if longer than 7 days, you are welcome to bring food in zip lock gallon bags. If you prefer, Canine & Co. Dog Resort can provide two meals per day for $5.00 per day. Refrigeration is available for guests on raw diets.

Medication Administration Policy

As part of our all-inclusive boarding stay, we are happy to administer medications to ensure your dog remains comfortable and on schedule during their stay. Written instructions are required. Include name of medication, reason, and how many times a day it is to be administered. Types of medications we can administer: Oral, topical, supplements, Flea, tick, or heartworm prevention if due during boarding.

Bedding & Personal Items

Canine & Co. Dog Resort provides an elevated orthopedic bed in every suite. You are welcome to bring a blanket, a couple of favorite toys, and non-destructive chew bones to help make your dog’s stay more comfortable. For health and safety of our guests, rawhides, bully sticks, or any chewing item that can become soft, gummy, or pose a choking hazard are not permitted.

Meet and Greet (Temperament Testing)

Our Meet & Greet process is designed to ensure the safety, comfort, and positive experience of every canine guest. Our Meet and Greet Evaluation (half day of daycare) is required for all boarding and daycare guests. Meet and Greets are not available during holiday weeks, spring break, or fall break. Confirmed reservations are required.

Acts of Behavior

Dogs must not have a known history of aggression toward people or other dogs, nor a history of destructive behavior that could compromise the safety of guests, staff, or property.

Holiday & Early Closures

Canine & Co. Dog Resort lobby will close at 2:00 pm on New Year's Eve, day before Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve. The lobby will be closed on New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.

Online New Client Information

All Online New Client Information and Agreement must be completed before services are provided.
