Do you offer Daycare packages?
Yes, we offer various discounted packages for dog daycare. Check them out on Daycare on our website.
My dog doesn't always want to play with other dogs; sometimes he just wants to be given affection and watch other dogs. Is daycare appropriate for him?
Absolutely! Not every dog comes to daycare to wrestle and run all day, and that’s perfectly okay. Many dogs enjoy the social environment in their own way. Some prefer gentle interaction, human affection, or simply observing the action rather than actively participating in group play. Daycare is a wonderful outlet for mental stimulation, light socialization, and companionship. Whether your pup is the life of the party or the quiet observer, we create a daycare experience where they can feel comfortable and confident.
Do you have a small dog area?
Canine & Co. Dog Resort provides a separate indoor and outdoor play area for our smaller dogs. When staying overnight, we offer suites in a separate boarding area for our guests who are 35 pounds and under for their comfort. Are the dogs always supervised during off-leash play? Absolutely! All off-leash play is supervised by our trained team members. Our staff are educated in calm leadership, canine body language, and safe group play management to ensure every dog is safe, engaged, and enjoying their time with us.
Can my older dog have more breaks from daycare play if needed while boarding?
Absolutely! There are many reasons why our canine guests may benefit from additional rest breaks, including age, weather conditions, energy level, or simply needing time to recharge from all the fun. Our trained team members carefully monitor each guest and recognize when a dog is ready for a break. We can also add special care notes to your dog’s profile to ensure scheduled rest periods are provided during their stay. Your dog’s comfort and well-being are always our priority.
Can I see the complete facilities where my dog will be staying and playing? Can I just drop by any time to take a tour?
Yes! We encourage and welcome you to tour the resort. See what makes us different.
Can I bring my dog along for the tour?
No, we require a profile and proof of vaccinations before any dogs are allowed to come onsite to ensure the health and safety of all.
I have multiple dogs. Can they stay in the same suite?
Of course! We offer a separate boarding area for our smaller guests, but they can share a suite with their larger family members in the standard dog boarding area.
One of my dogs will eat the others dog food, can they be separated?
Yes! All siblings are fed separately to allow us to accurately track appetite and overall well-being during their stay.
Why is a Meet and Greet (temperament) Evaluation required for boarding and daycare dogs?
This is an important step in ensuring a safe, structured, and positive experience for every dog in our care. Our Meet & Greet is a supervised temperament and social assessment, not just a quick introduction. During this visit, our trained Team Lead spends dedicated one-on-one time getting to know your dog, and will carefully introduce them to appropriate playmates, and observing their comfort level, play style, and behavior in a group setting. Upon arrival, we also evaluate how your dog responds to time spent in one of our suites. This helps us ensure they are comfortable when resting or boarding and do not experience stress or reactive aggressive behavior when confined. Their comfort is of the upmost importance to us. This thorough approach allows us to maintain a safe, calm and balanced environment while ensuring every guest feels secure, confident, and well cared for from the very beginning. We charge a fee of $23, and your canine family member is welcome to spend a full day with daycare (value $30). Meet and Greets are scheduled Monday through Thursday from 9 am to 1 pm. We open as early as 7 am and your pup is welcome to arrive before 9 am for your convenience. Reservations are required.
What behaviors might indicate that group play daycare is not the right fit for my dog?
The vast majority of our Meet & Greets are successful, and most dogs transition beautifully into our daycare and boarding environment. Our evaluation process is simply designed to ensure the safety, comfort, and positive experience of every canine guest. While we truly love all dogs, we recognize that a group daycare or boarding environment is not the right fit for every personality or temperament, and that’s perfectly okay. Many dogs simply need time, maturity, or guidance before thriving in a group setting.
Behaviors that may indicate a dog is not yet comfortable in a group setting may include:
*Lunging, snapping, or biting *Pinning or repeated body slamming *Fence fighting*Extreme fearfulness that escalates into defensive behavior *Resource guarding of water, play equipment, space, or people *Persistent mounting that does not respond to redirection
Our goal is always to set dogs up for success, never to label or exclude. If group care is not the best fit at this time, we will gladly discuss alternative options that better support your dog’s comfort and well-being. These may include a follow-up visit, training recommendations, a licensed pet sitter, or other personalized solutions.
